“Rep. Mike Rounds' bill to eliminate the Department of Education is the latest offensive in the far right's long war against public education in America. It is an attack on the freedom to learn and should be soundly rejected.
“Project 2025 schemers and MAGA Republicans may be eager to get their hands on public education funds and tighten their censorship of what students can read and learn, but most Americans understand how important public education is to our kids and our democracy.”
