WASHINGTON, DC – People For the American Way launched digital ads in North Carolina two weeks ahead of a critical federal and statewide election, highlighting the importance of voting against Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans who want to take away our freedoms.

The 60-second video, "Donald Trump Has No Plan” began running this week and will run through November 5. It specifically emphasizes the negative impacts on reproductive freedom, healthcare, and the implementation of Project 2025 if Trump is elected in one of the most consequential elections in American history.

“People For the American Way’s digital ads in North Carolina remind voters how necessary their voices are in this election and beyond,” said President of People For the American Way Svante Myrick. “Casting a ballot holds real power at a time when extremist candidates are targeting our freedoms. These ads are about turning the page, protecting our democracy from the Project 2025 agenda, and setting the course for a better America for the next generations.”

“We are days away from Election Day and every eligible voter in North Carolina must cast a vote to protect our future,” said People For the American Way National Political Director Markus Batchelor. “Every voice should be heard and respected at the ballot box. What happens in North Carolina will have a significant impact on who becomes our next president and, therefore, who will nominate Supreme Court justices and federal district and circuit court judges who are entrusted with ensuring justice and equality under the law.”

In North Carolina, elections are set to take place for 14 U.S. House seats and the governorship. Among the candidates is Mark Robinson, a MAGA Republican Trump supporter and election denier, who is running for governor.

Statewide candidates Elaine Marshall, Braxton Winston, and Mo Green have accepted People For’s endorsement in their races for Secretary of State, Commissioner of Labor, and Superintendent of Public Instruction, respectively.

There are 7.7 million eligible voters in North Carolina. Black eligible voters in North Carolina make up nearly 22 percent of the state’s electorate.
