RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.
In honor of Ted Cruz’s religious persecution event today, this edition of Paranoia-Rama will be dedicated to all the many “victims” of gay marriage out there.
5) Get Ready To Die Fighting Gay Marriage
Bill Muehlenberg took to BarbWire yesterday to denounce the hardships faced by anti-gay activists like himself, whom he believes are treated like “lepers” and “the scum of the earth” by increasingly powerful “homosexual militants.”
“We are also the true revolutionaries today,” he said of gay marriage critics. “We are the only true radicals. We are fighting against the rising tide of pink oppression and servitude.”
Muehlenberg courageously added that he will willingly die for the cause once the “rainbow warriors” turn opposition to marriage equality into a capital offense:
OK, so banish me now. Exile me. Or jail me. Or even put me to death for my dastardly beliefs. But no matter how demonised and abused by the homosexual statists, I will never refrain from speaking up for truth – and for marriage and children.
I have long noted how incredibly bizarre all this is, with persecution arising for simply affirming marriage and the wellbeing of children. Who would have thought the new clampdown on freedom and democracy would come from those rainbow warriors who have declared war on marriage and family.
…
With people now losing their jobs, being fined, and even going to jail over this, you know we have reached the endgame warned about in these prophetic novels. Indeed, why am I reminded of the words of George Orwell from his prescient 1984?
4) Bow Down To Your Gay Overlords
On Tuesday’s edition of “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson maintained that gay rights advocates “are on a vendetta to destroy everyone who disagree with them.”
Later in the program, the televangelist explained that the gay community is using “tyrannical” courts to wield power. Christians, he said, “are being made to bow down before the two percent who are homosexual.”
3) E.W. Jackson Is Angry About Something
Failed GOP politician turned Fox News pundit E.W. Jackson, who is always finding ways to prove that President Obama hates America and is literally demonic, explained in an interview with Frank Gaffney that Obama’s support for ending bans on LGBT service members proves that he doesn’t want “the military to be militarily effective.”
“I don’t think he believes in it, I don’t think he believes in its mission, because, frankly, and I know this sounds extreme but it’s what I believe in my heart, I don’t think he fundamentally believes in the nature of this country or its mission,” Jackson said.
Jackson spoke in even more stark terms during the debate over the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell in 2011, suggesting that the end of the policy would anger God: “How in the world can we expect our military to be blessed by the hand of almighty God if we allow our military to become the equivalent of Sodom and Gomorrah? God is not pleased.”
He later denied making the comments, perhaps not realizing that they were on video.
2) Gay Supremacy
Scott Lively, a notorious cheerleader for Uganda’s extreme anti-homosexuality bill, recently sat down with Peter LaBarbera and John Kirkwood, where he discussed how HIV/AIDS is God’s punishment for people being gay and that “widespread acceptance of homosexuality by society is the harbinger of wrath of God.”
He also “exposed” the sinister truth about the gay rights movement:
There’s going to be persecution unfolding for all of us in this country because this movement of people is implacable, they can’t be placated. They’re relentless and their goal is supremacy. It’s not tolerance, it’s not acceptance, it isn’t even celebration, it isn’t even being able to force everyone to participate in their culture, it’s to punish anyone who disagrees with them as severely as they can and that is what's coming for every person.
1) Divine Wrath Imminent
As Michele Bachmann’s mentor John Eidsmoe put it, “it is a mistake to suggest that the decision to become a homosexual affects no one but oneself,” since, after all, “homosexuality invites the judgment of God upon all of society. The great sin that brought destruction by fire and brimstone upon Sodom and Gomorrah was homosexuality.”
And so now we are all going to be the victims of gay marriage when God unleashes divine retribution against America over the matter. End Times rabbi Jonathan Cahn claimed that something bad like a natural disaster or economic crash is going to come in September — or not — because “America crossed the line” when “the Supreme Court struck down the biblical definition of marriage.”
