Americans For Truth About Homosexuality director Peter LaBarbera said yesterdat that the U.S. should copy Russia’s “homosexual propaganda” law in order to censor shows like “Good Luck Charlie,” the Disney show that recently came under attack from Religious Right activists for featuring a same-sex couple.
“Look at the Disney show, they are promoting lesbianism to kids who don’t even know what sex is yet,” LaBarbera said in an interview with the American Family Association’s Sandy Rios. “How are kids going to process that information of two moms?”
LaBarbera hailed Russia’s law for stopping people from “promoting homosexualism” and called it “acceptable and a good idea.” Rios agreed that the law was “common sense.”
LaBarbera even had harsh words for same-sex couples who send their children to school, because that may lead to discussions that would make anti-gay bigots like himself who seek to stigmatize the family feel uncomfortable.
They’re always asking, ‘How does it harm you? How does gay parenting affect you?’ Here’s how we see it affecting us: Young children are being taught that homosexuality, homosexual relationships is just normal. It’s actually very selfish because the adult choices are basically forced on everybody. This situation we saw in Disney is writ large.
If there’s a lesbian parenting, lesbians have a child at a school, the whole school—there’s pressure on the school then to teach, to not have any stigma be on that whole idea of homosexuality. Of course we don’t hate anybody, we don’t want any child harmed but these situations are forced upon the general public.

You know, the children are being forced by this so-called domesticated homosexuality, they pay the price. People say, ‘Why can’t you just teach them? Why do you have to have any stigma at all?’ Well, basically they are asking us to give up our beliefs.
He also told Rios that he will be travelling to Washington along with notorious anti-gay pastor Scott Lively to speak out in favor of Russia’s anti-gay crackdown in front of the Russian Embassy.
