Alex Jones Infowars

Alex Jones

The host of the nationally syndicated daily radio program "The Alex Jones Show," Alex Jones helped build the media outlet InfoWars, which is a clearinghouse of conspiracy theory articles and videos, survivalist and prepper materials and health products. InfoWars serves as a breeding ground for conspiracy theories and other false reports that sometimes work their way up through the right-wing media. Jones has developed a relationship with President Donald Trump, who appeared on his show and hailed his "amazing" reputation during the 2016 campaign.

Jones, who is based in Austin, Texas, has promulgated numerous "false flag" conspiracy theories, alleging that the U.S. government was involved in the September 11 attacks, the Oklahoma City bombing and a number of mass shootings. Jones also claims that "chemtrails" from the backs of planes spread a deadly "weaponized flu," that juice boxes are turning children gay and that the musician Beyoncé is a CIA plant out to stir racial violence and "literally" eat the brains of children. Jones has even pushed the idea that aliens, possibly in the form of lizards, secretly orchestrate world events.
