Born and raised in Wisconsin, Kyle graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1996. He was hired as a research assistant by People For the American Way in 1999 and now serves as a senior fellow. For more than 15 years, he has provided daily coverage of a wide range of Religious Right organizations, activists and issues and has provided expertise on them to various media outlets, including the New York Times, BuzzFeed, National Public Radio, SiriusXM and others. He and his wife currently live in Tennessee.
