Roseanne Barr, the actress who has become a favorite of the right-wing pro-Trump movement for her role in promoting laughably untrue conspiracy theories as well as her undying support for President Trump, was fired from ABC today in response to public outrage over a blatantly racist tweet she posted.
Barr threw a racist insult at former Obama White House advisor Valerie Jarrett on Twitter this morning, claiming Jarrett is what would happen if “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.”
The internet rightfully exploded in outrage over the unabashed racism, so much so that Barr issued a public apology and said that she was going to stop using Twitter. But hours later, ABC announced that it was canceling Barr’s recently revived show. ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey told CBS News, “"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show."
Aside from today’s casual racism, Barr has also been a vocal supporter of the “#QAnon” conspiracy theory, which alleges that a high-ranking intelligence sources have been ordered by Trump to publish a series of riddles on anonymous image boards that supposedly reveal that Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible foreign interference in the 2016 election is actually a secret mission to dismantle a global satanic pedophile ring.
Despite all of this, right-wing media figures charged into the arena to defend Barr and attack liberals who they believe unfairly criticized her racist tweet.
Fox News radio host Todd Starnes sent a snarky message alleging that conservative women are disparaged by Hollywood:
But it's okay for Hollywood to disparage conservative women....#ToddStarnesShow

Alex Jones, the conspiracy theorist leading Infowars, quickly invited Barr on his show:

Turning Point USA president Charlie Kirk compared Barr to MSNBC host Joy Reid, who was forced to apologize for anti-LGBTQ blog posts she had written years ago:
Joy Ann Reid repeatedly and intentionally published bigoted ideas over long periods of time, lies about it, gets help covering it up, fake apologizes, and is heralded as a hero and keeps her show
Roseanne tweets something racist, immediately apologizes, and loses her show

Conspiracy theorist and “Pizzagate” promoter David Seaman’s Fulcrum News said that Barr’s cancellation proved that media companies are “proven enemies of the American people”:
Roseanne told a tasteless joke about a tasteless person who committed her life to weakening America and poisoning our own population’s STRENGTH. The networks—ABC, CBS, NBC—are proven enemies of the American people, stacked to the hilt with pedo compromised pawns for globos.

Ted Nugent, an NRA board member, called people upset by Barr’s tweet “lying dishonest soulless freaks from Planet of the Apes”:
So Roseanne referencing a movie title is racist. Lying dishonest soulless freaks from Planet of the Apes

CRTV host and hate group leader Gavin McInnes expressed disbelief that anyone would interpret Barr’s tweet to be racist:
So we're all going to sit here and pretend that @therealroseanne meant that joke in a racist way? https://t.co/ZPH78Pg4NI

Pro-Trump pundit Jack Posobiec told his followers to contact ABC “immediately if you want Roseanne back on the air” before suggesting that Barr explore another business venture:

Trump-loving sycophant and radio host Bill Mitchell said he didn’t understand why Barr’s tweet was racist in the first place before he posted his own racist tweet of his own:
I'm not sure how saying someone looks like a child of "Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes" is racist.
I thought "Muslim Brotherhood" was supposed to be a "good" thing and Liberals say we are descended from apes?
What am I missing here?

Laura Loomer, a rampant anti-Muslim conspiracy theorist, said it was “so lame” that ABC canceled Barr’s show after she “dropped some major red pills in a tweet”:
ABC News literally just cancelled @therealroseanne's show because she dropped some major red pills in a tweet.
So lame.
I love Roseanne. She's my spirit animal. pic.twitter.com/jWSIGgA8gY

In Hollywood, if you rape children you can keep your show but if you’re a liberal who has supported a Republican and make a stupid comment—you lose your show.
We have to end Hollywood.

White nationalist Faith Goldy begged Trump to host Barr at his rally tonight:
@realDonaldTrump please bring @therealroseanne to your rally tonight‼
— ☩ Faith J Goldy ☩ ?? (@FaithGoldy) May 29, 2018
But some pundits thought that Barr’s show was canceled, not for her racist tweet, but for criticizing billionaire George Soros:
BREAKING: ABC has said that they are cancelling @therealroseanne show.
This is what happens when you speak out against the mainstream media and George Soros.
They attack you from every corner trying to destroy your life.
— PeterSweden (@PeterSweden7) May 29, 2018
ABC cancelled Roseanne because of her criticism of George Soros as the nazi loving sellout he is, not because of her crude criticism of Valerie Jarrett.
Trust me.
