Right-wing pastor Rick Joyner, who has been a vocal defender of Russia for years, posted a video on his Facebook page today wondering why people get so upset just because Russian president Vladimir Putin "has had some people knocked off."
Joyner said that while President Trump "is making some real progress" in his presidency, his efforts are being hampered by Obama holdovers in the government who he claims are committing "treason."
"We have got a lot of people seriously doing treasonous things," he said. "I hope it won't get to the point where people are going to have to be charged and dragged out, [but] some need to be, some have done some things [that are] so illegal."
As "proof," Joyner cited the conspiracy theory that a young Democratic National Committee staffer was murdered last year for supposedly leaking internal DNC documents to Wikileaks.
"It was a cover up, an obvious cover up," Joyner said. "Here is my point: There is some really ugly stuff going on in the world and I know people that just get outraged at Putin because he's had some people knocked off. Well, just about everybody in government, including our government, has done that kind of thing."
