Pat Robertson told a “700 Club” viewer today that she should not “enable” her gay son’s “lifestyle,” just as she wouldn’t enable a drug addict.
When the viewer asked the televangelist about her son’s decision to come out of the closet, Robertson responded that she must continue to love him by treating him like someone who is an addict.
“You cannot go along and say, ‘I agree with your lifestyle,’” he said. “So don’t be an enabler, any more if he’s a drug addict, you don’t enable people to continue in their drug habits. But you let him know you love him.”
