Today on “The 700 Club,” hosts Pat Robertson and Wendy Griffith hailed President Trump’s decision to nominate Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, noting that Supreme Court appointments are among the most consequential acts a president can undertake while in office.
Robertson expressed relief in Trump’s decision to nominate a conservative judge, saying that had Hillary Clinton won the election, her judicial nominees would have undermined the Constitution with their liberal views.
He went on to rail against court decisions upholding the separation of church and state, such as Lemon v. Kurtzman, and abortion rights.
“You get the chance for some of these things to be overturned,” he said. “What the guys, the pro-abort folks, are concerned about, there’s a real possibility of overturning Roe v. Wade.”
