Pat Robertson is still reeling from President Obama’s re-election, and today on “The 700 Club” criticized voters for backing the president’s campaign for a second term, which he said might lead to the destruction of America.
Robertson, who claimed before the election that God told him Mitt Romney would defeat Obama and recently prayed for God to remove Obama from office, wondered today if America will “survive” Obama’s remaining time in office. “Ladies and gentlemen, somebody in America elected that man and elected him for a second term,” he said, “and the question is: can we survive as a nation these next two years before we get him replaced?”
Robertson and Christian Broadcasting Network reporter Erick Stakelbeck also alleged that Obama refuses to use force against ISIS militants in Syria. “He will not lift a finger about Syria,” Robertson said.
Actually, of the roughly 2,000 airstrikes that the U.S.-led coalition has launched against the so-called Islamic State, nearly half have been aimed at targets in Syria. U.S. airpower has targeted Syrian-based ISIS forces in Kobane, launching eleven airstrikes just yesterday, as well as Raqqa, the militant group’s self-proclaimed capital, and oil fields under their control.
