On the latest "Truths That Transform" episode from D. James Kennedy Ministries, host Frank Wright interviewed anti-LGBT activist Michael Brown about the controversy over allowing transgender individuals to use the facilities that match the gender with which they identify.
Brown had a very simple solution to the controversy: Transgender people should just "dress in accordance with [their] biological gender" when they are out in public in case they might have to use a restroom.
Wright said that it is entirely reasonable to require transgender people to use facilities that match the gender they were assigned at birth rather than the one with which they currently identify and Brown completely agreed.
"You cannot turn society upside down to help those who struggle, even if it is a genuine handicap," Brown stated. "For example, if people can only drive 20 miles an hour, that's the fastest they're capable of driving, they have to stay off the highway. It's an inconvenience but it hurts everybody else and it causes traffic jams and potential accidents. So if a man says, 'Well, I dress like a woman, what do I do when I need to use the bathroom somewhere?,' that's a real difficulty, that's a real problem but it's not one that you can now put on society as a whole."
"These are ultimately choices people make," he said, "and if it's a matter of going to the bathroom; if you're in public and you're going to have a deal with a bathroom, if you have to dress in accordance with your biological gender, that's the sacrifice you'll have to make, you can't put the sacrifice on everyone else."
