After Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court earlier this month, a handful of protesters were able to push past police and reach the entrance to the Supreme Court, where some pounded on the doors before being removed and arrested.
On Liberty Counsel's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast this morning, Matt Barber likened the scene to Sodom and Gomorrah.
"The mob ran up the stairs, took over the stairs—which never happens—and they're literally pounding their fists on the doors to the Supreme Court," Barber said. "Literally pounding on the 10 Commandments that are engraved there on the Supreme Court doors. I thought that was such a powerful presentation of this clash of culture wars."
"It was reminiscent of, in Genesis, where the homosexuals of Sodom accost the home, the house of Lot and are pounding on the door, demanding that they turn over two male angels so that they can rape them," Barber added. "Except in this case, what we saw being assaulted was justice and truth."
"Really, they're banging on the door of death," said co-host Holly Meade. "When it really comes down to this spiritual warfare, it's really about abortion, it's really about life or death. So I saw that analogy of them banging on the door trying to get to those babies, trying to kill those people."
Fellow co-host Mat Staver was likewise appalled: "The mob, had they gotten their hands on Kavanaugh—it makes you shudder."
