James O’Keefe, the right-wing activist best known for his discredited attacks against the community service group ACORN, his failed attempt to break into then-Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office and recent laughable effort to manufacture a Hillary Clinton campaign finance scandal, is now directing his attacks at companies involved with Common Core, an academic standards effort with supporters and critics on both sides of the aisle.
Naturally, O’Keefe found a receptive audience in Alex Jones, speaking with the InfoWars broadcaster yesterday about his latest set of “sting” videos.
“We’re in a war,” Jones said, claiming that “the real battle for the republic” is in the homeland because “America is being taken down.”
“God’s on our side,” he told O’Keefe. “There is Providence. George Washington talked about it. But we have to get on the field. But when we get on the field, everything we do turns to gold.” He continued to pour out praise of O’Keefe, praising the activist for trying to stop liberals from taking over the U.S. and turning it into a Third World nation.
O’Keefe, who once likened his group’s activists to SEAL Team Six, said that while he wasn’t comparing himself to military service members, “I do think that people need to risk their lives domestically” to save America. He then insisted that he has been detained several times by the Department of Homeland Security and has gone “through hell doing this work.”
