On his radio broadcast yesterday, Bryan Fischer spoke with a caller about the "Duck Dynasty" controversy and declared that the main lesson of the entire thing is that the views put forth by Phil Robertson and, by extension, Fischer and his audience, are widely shared by the vast majority of Americans.
"One of the take-aways of that whole episode," Fischer said, "is that Phil Robertson and the American people like you and me that agree with him, that we are the mainstream. It's the gay activists, it's the gay lobby, they're the ones that are on the fringe ... [The 'Duck Dynasty' cast] represent the values that you and I and the great majority of Americans share":
