On his radio broadcast today, Bryan Fischer once again called for America to implement Russian-style anti-gay "propaganda" laws and to ban the formation of gay-straight alliance clubs in high schools.
Just as advertising cigarettes to children is illegal, Fischer said, so too should we ban the spread of gay "propaganda."
"We ought to be doing exactly the same thing with homosexuality," he said. "That's what Russia is doing. You can't propagandize youth in Russia because they don't want the youth of Russia to grow up thinking this is a normal alternative to heterosexuality. And homosexuality is not even against the law in Russia, just like smoking is not against the law in America but we do the same thing; we do not allow the propagandizing of America's young to think that there is something glamorous and exciting and healthy about cigarette smoking."
"If we're going to be concerned across the board about human health, then we ought to have exactly the same concern for people that are considering going into the homosexual lifestyle," he continued. "Let's talk them out of it. Let's persuade them against it. Let's refuse to allow our young people to be propagandized in preschool, in kindergarten, in elementary school into thinking this behavior is normal. In teenagers, let's not let them be propagandized, let's not have gay-straight alliance clubs on our high school campuses."
