WASHINGTON, D.C.—People For the American Way's (PFAW) Next Up Victory Fund today announced that it endorsed Spencer Thibodeau for mayor of Portland, Maine.
"We have known and worked with Spencer Thibodeau for years and know him to be a dynamic community leader and elected official, and we are thrilled to endorse his candidacy," PFAW President Michael Keegan said. "With the national conversation now finally focused on addressing climate change, Thibodeau's work to cut Portland's carbon emissions and protect the local environment shows he's the leader we need right now. Spencer is a champion for quality education and for building an inclusive economy. He's the right choice for the citizens of Portland."
