Washington D.C. – Following the recall election of Temecula Valley School Board President Joseph Komrosky, in which district residents chose to remove him from office, People For the American Way President Svante Myrick released the following statement:
“Temecula Valley school district residents sent a clear signal today that they do not want anti-LGBTQ and racist rhetoric and policies emanating from their school board leadership. This recall opens the door for the election of school board leadership that will create a climate of inclusivity that fosters academic excellence for all students. People For is proud of the role we and our members played in organizing and supporting local residents in their campaign to restore the freedom to learn in their schools.”
