People For the American Way Foundation Vice President and Legal and Education Policy Director Elliot Mincberg will testify today before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and the Workforce on the issue of equal educational choices for parents and students. Mincberg’s testimony will focus on the issue of tuition tax credits for private schools.
Mincberg will discuss two parental choice programs that PFAWF has recently studied: the Arizona tuition tax credit law [https://www.pfaw.org/issues/education/reports/arizona/] and the Cleveland voucher plan [https://www.pfaw.org/issues/education/epromises].
Mincberg’s testimony will help reveal the gap between school choice proponent’s promises and the actual impact of these programs.
