Even as we mourn his passing, we know we can honor President Carter’s memory by never giving up on the work of advancing civil rights, a mission he pursued with his whole heart during and after his term as President. Let’s recommit to carrying that mission forward on behalf of this man who remained humble even at the pinnacle of power, and may he rest in peace.”
