The TruNews network, dedicated to "reporting the countdown to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ," is owned and operated by radical right-wing conspiracy theorist Rick Wiles. As we noted last year:
Wiles is a radical conspiracy theorist who spent the Obama administration claiming that Barack Obama was literally demon-possessed and “a devil from hell” who “spiritually sodomized” the nation in his role as the head of a modern-day Nazi regime that sought to round up “patriotic men” and seize their homes so that they could be given to illegal immigrants.
In contrast, Wiles has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump from the very beginning of his presidential campaign and has repeatedly called for Trump’s critics to be “rounded up” and imprisoned.
Last year, Wiles asserted that Hurricane Harvey was God’s punishment on the city of Houston for its “affinity for the sexual perversion movement” and declared that the Las Vegas massacre was carried out a top secret death squad controlled by a secret world government that is “a gay/lesbian Nazi regime.”
Since then, Wiles has continued to promote wild conspiracy theories by asserting that government "death squads" are carrying out mass shootings in order to implement gun control, claiming that left-wing activists were on the verge of storming the White House and executing the First Family, declaring that Christine Blasey Ford was a CIA mind control operative, warning that God was using a "brown invasion" to push white people out of America, proclaiming that Tom Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen, is a witch, insisting that cell phone companies are plotting to create the Mark of the Beast, and repeatedly predicting that Democrats will start to kill conservatives heading into the 2020 elections.
In addition, Wiles and his network are is deeply anti-Semitic and many of TruNews' programs are dedicated to railing against Israel and the Jews.
Despite all of this, Wiles and his TruNews network have been able to establish close ties to the Trump administration and regularly receive press credentials to not only cover Trump's international trips, but also his campaign rallies.
Last night, TruNews was on hand at Trump's rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and its correspondent, Kerry Kinsey, was able to score an in-person interview with Donald Trump, Jr.
