Frank Amedia, a former Trump campaign adviser and founder of the Trump-supporting POTUS Shield network of “apostles” and “prophets,” said in a year-end video message that Trump’s presidency, his conflicts with European leaders, and the creation of the Space Force as a new branch of the military are all part of God’s plan to bring about the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Amedia said that one of Trump’s “assignments” from God has been to “halt globalization.”
“We’re not nationalists, we’re kingdom people,” Amedia explained. “We understand that the kingdom of God operates here on earth through rulers.”
He suggested that the “power of God” was on display with the political challenges facing Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and and France’s President Emmanuel Macron, who has criticized and mocked Trump.
Whether or not Trump understands that he’s carrying out “the prophetic word of God,” said Amedia, there’s more at work than just Trump’s political agenda. It’s about “aligning” the church, the nations of the earth, and the “spiritual” and “national” Israel to bring about the return of Jesus as Messiah:
Well, it’s not just making America great and America First. It’s assuming, and being a pin, a point head, to accomplish the things of God, to prepare the earth. For what? The second coming of the Lord.
Trump’s trade battles and his moves in the Middle East are all part of this divine maneuvering spoken of in the biblical book of Revelation, said Amedia. “God used me mightily” in 2016, Amedia continued, claiming that Trump’s speech to the pro-Israel lobbying group AIPAC included a set of talking points “exactly as I gave them” to the campaign. And while the move of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem was “a great victory for the kingdom of God,” it’s “just the beginning.” Amedia warned that a two-state solution that would divide Jerusalem is “not God’s intent” and said that Jared Kushner should not be allowed to push any kind of alliance or solution that is not aligned with God’s will.
Amedia also took some credit for Trump’s move to create a Space Force. “I had prophesied early on” that Trump would make a move in space, said Amedia, who said that he was present at the first meeting about space over which Vice President Mike Pence presided.
The Space Force also has divine significance, suggested Amedia, declaring that it is needed not only to protect the U.S. and Israel, but “to do war from that area.” He encouraged people to read Revelation to figure out what he was talking about:
I’m not going to get more into that now. Read Revelation. You read into it and see what you think. The Space Force and command was prophesied of God; somehow it centered into the spirit of this president and vice president, and the vice president himself is heading this up, and they’ve done a lot, they’ve made up a lot of ground in a year and a half. We need to see a lot more. We need to be a dominant space force in all the earth, and that will cause peace.
The Book of Revelation is the last book in the Christian Bible, and contains an apocalyptic vision of fantastical creatures and a cosmic end-times battle between good and evil that ushers in a victory over Satan, the wrathful judgment of God and a thousand-year reign of Jesus and his followers.
