Fox News personality Tomi Lahren attacked Jay-Z today for criticizing President Trump and said that the rapper should refrain from political statements and “go back to rapping filthy lyrics and celebrating your drug-dealing resume and let Donald Trump make America great again, for us all.”
During an interview with David Letterman released last week, Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, said that the Trump presidency has brought out “an ugly side of America” that has forced Americans to have tough conversations about systemic and cultural racism in the United States. In a video uploaded to Fox News Insider this morning, Lahren said that Trump “is doing more for Americans—of all races—than you or your anointed one, Barack Obama, ever did.”
She went on to criticize Jay-Z for the fact that he campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and then proceeded to lecture him: “Sad thing is, you know this president is winning for the American people and you can’t stand it because you’d rather charge him with some made-up racism and stir up resentment in minority communities than admit the progress he’s making on behalf of the very people you claim to fight for.”
“Please, go back to rapping filthy lyrics and celebrating your drug-dealing resume and let Donald Trump make America great again, for us all,” she said.
