Theodore Shoebat is an anti-gay Religious Right activist who is so militant that he openly calls for gays and people who accept gays to be put to death, but that hasn't prohibited him from appearing in an anti-gay documentary along with leading Republican lawmakers and presidential hopefuls or being interviewed on right-wing Christian programs.
Last year, Shoebat made news when he called several gay-owned bakeries and asked them to make a cake for him bearing anti-gay-marriage slogans, so naturally TheDove TV's Perry Atkinson invited Shoebat onto his program yesterday to discuss the situation with an Oregon bakery that has been fined for denying service to a gay couple.
As one would expect, Shoebat had a rather radical take on the issue, declaring that Sharia law has already engulfed America in the form of "sodomism."
Saying that Christians "are being forced to participate [in] depraved debauchery," Shoebat warned that "Sharia law is already here, it's called the homosexual agenda."
"Islam does not need to take over America," he said, "the Devil is doing his work already in expanding and inundating the society with an equally if not more even tyrannical system than Islam. That is what I call 'sodomism.'"
