Vision America's Rick Scarborough preached at a church in Forney, Texas, yesterday, where he railed against the Supreme Court for striking down state bans on gay marriage and predicted that pastors in America will soon face prison for refusing to same-sex weddings.
The Founding Fathers, Scarborough said, would never have allowed the courts to say "the heck with God, we're going to let men who have sex with men get married and let them adopt children and since they can't have babies, they can just adopt yours and recruit them into the movement."
"What's next? Pedophilia?" he asked. "When we called homosexuality, instead of sodomy, 'gay,' it changed everything because everyone wants to be gay. So let's just change pedophilia to 'happy' and we'll have all kinds of leagues of happy people and we'll have the lobby for happy people. Who wants to keep somebody from being happy?"
Scarborough vowed to continue to fight even if it ultimately costs him his freedom ... just as he did after passage of hate crimes legislation back in 2009, which obviously hasn't happened.
"If it keeps going in the direction it's going, what I'm doing will become illegal," he said. "And when it becomes illegal, I'll break the law. Some things you do whether it's legal or not because it's right, folks. Every pastor in America is going to have to make a decision soon about what he's going to do when he's demanded to conduct a gay wedding."
