Lance Wallnau, a “prophetic” self-promoter who declared before the 2016 election that Donald Trump had been anointed as “God’s Chaos Candidate,” told his Facebook followers on Wednesday that God is setting “true qualified seekers of God” apart for special work.
This work is not about the call to ministry, he said. Wallnau cited a verse from the biblical book of Acts in which he said Saul and Barnabas were given a special assignment that “was going to start off with a divine appointment with a politician and a divine confrontation with a witch. The politician got insight and the witch lost eyesight.”
Maybe this is a word for us! The sickness coming over America is driven by the devil moving thru occult empowered activists and donors influencing politicians and law makers. Maybe our strategy of holy disengagement needs to change as we go to the decision makers and deal with the witches who are their consultants?
Wallnau made his comments in response to a March 4 column by evangelist Mario Murillo, who wrote that the Holy Spirit is separating out a group of Christians: “He has selected them for special grace and power to accomplish mighty acts at the edge of history.”
Two days later, Murillo wrote that he is battling ancient and malevolent dark forces of hell that he says have been gathering to wage spiritual warfare against his upcoming tent crusade in California that is “the beginning of our invasion of California along the highway 99 corridor.” He wrote, “I have watched normal people turn into beasts simply because we told them we are coming.”
But we now know the reason we have been attacked so violently. The devil is hiding a secret in California. It is a secret that he guards with unbridled tenacity. That secret is the hunger and openness of the average person in California. They are not the left wing nuts you have been told.
At this moment there, is a quiet revolution taking place in the golden state. They are fed up with the gender bending experiment on their children, they are angry over the socialist taxation, they are clearly aware of the war on God that their leaders have declared.
I say it is quiet because they are oppressed. A small, loud confederation of politicians, media moguls, techie billionaires and educators wield almost complete power over what they see and hear in this nation state.
Murillo is asking his supporters to pray for the success of his crusade, for spiritual revival, and against socialism:
Pray against socialism in America. If it comes it will come through California. Socialism is a curse. It has always destroyed the nations that have given themselves over to it. It begins and ends in atheism. Leftists want to make our health care like that of other nations—nations that come here because their socialist system lets them die. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez does not have the clout to bring it…neither does Bernie Sanders. If destruction by socialism comes to America it will come through California.
But I also believe that if revival comes to America it can come through California.
Murillo is not the only one hoping to bring change to California. Christian nationalist David Lane’s California Renewal Project hosted pre-election sessions last year encouraging conservative pastors to get more involved in politics. Lane’s pastor-politician Rob McCoy told an Engage California rally the Saturday before the midterm elections that if Christians would only show up to vote, “we would dominate every election up and down the state.”
As it turned out, the midterms were a disaster for the Republican Party in California. As we noted this week, former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is hoping to revive the GOP’s influence in the state with a group called New Way California; its recent summit featured National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference leader Samuel Rodriguez and GOP Assemblyman Chad Mayes, who was the “special guest” at a 2016 California Renewal Project event.
Of course, Wallnau has said that Democratic victories in the mid-term elections were part of God’s “brilliant” strategy to allow voters to see how radical the party has become, which will help Trump win re-election.
One of the first few responses to Wallnau’s recent Facebook post included a link to a Q-conspiracy video about the world-destroying conspiracy of globalist and “deep state” criminals—and Trump’s role in dismantling “the cabal.” The commenter wrote that Jesus Christ has plans to save America and the world using “our President and ALL the Patriots, and Biblical Christians who will stand up.”
