In a video posted on his Facebook page on Friday, right-wing pastor Rick Joyner voiced his outrage over report that Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, had his phones tapped and home raided as part of the investigation into Russian interference in the election.
Falsely claiming that Trump "obviously knew what he was talking about" when he alleged that he had been spied on by President Obama, Joyner fumed that the raid on Manafort's home shows that the U.S. government is now engaging in "Gestapo-type tactics."
"The FBI came and picked his lock and broke into his house with him in there to raid his house," Joyner said. "If that isn't Gestapo-type tactics, I don't know what is. If you have a warrant, fine, you know on the door, you present your warrant and then you do your search. But to pick the lock, to break into the house, for the police to break into somebody's house, those are truly something out of Nazi Germany tactics. Is this what our country has come to? Is this what we're going to allow to have happen in our country."
