Rick Joyner: The New England Patriots 2014 Super Bowl Championship Was A Message From God

On his most recent "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program, Rick Joyner once again claimed that God personally told him that the New England Patriots would win the Super Bowl last year and that it was going to be a supernatural sign that patriotism would "become really popular again."

Joyner was discussing the Republican primary race and explaining that while he currently supports Donald Trump, that could change "if the Lord really speaks to me," which He does quite regularly, like when God told Joyner at the start of the 2014 NFL season that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl.

"Way in the beginning of last football season, the Lord showed me the New England Patriots were going to win the Super Bowl," Joyner said. "He showed me why and I didn't like his reasons ... I wanted the Carolina Panthers to win the Super Bowl, but the Lord said, 'No, the New England Patriots are going to win again this year.'"

"He showed me that early in the season," Joyner continued, "and then He told me not to give up on our Panthers either. Does the Lord care about football? Yeah. I promise you, He does. He does because we do. If we didn't, He wouldn't care about it, but because His people do, He does care. I don't believe He picks winners unfairly, unless He does like He did last year to give us a message. And that message was, He said, 'The Patriots are going to win and it is going to be a message that patriotism is going to win.' I believe you're going to see patriotism becoming really popular again."
