Rick Joyner Says Trump Will Prevail Over Comey Story Because 'He's Got Favor From God On Him'

Right-wing pastor Rick Joyner posted a video on his Facebook page today in which he dismissed reports that President Trump asked former FBI director James Comey to end the agency's investigation into former national security advisor Michael Flynn's ties to Russia, saying that the request is not a big deal because Trump was simply trying to get the FBI to focus on the important things, like fighting terrorism.

Falsely claiming yet again that the FBI under Comey's direction had failed to stop several terrorist attacks, Joyner insisted that Trump had every right to ask Comey to drop the Russia investigation.

"Guess what? The White House can do that. There is nothing illegal about that," Joyner said. "It's not a crime. That is not obstruction to just ask him. And there is a reason they're asking—not because they're trying to hide their guilt—it's because the FBI under Comey has been so devoted to majoring on minors and missing the big things that they exist to take care of, like terrorist attacks."

Joyner said that the media is intent on destroying Trump and is obsessed with the Russia story because Vladimir Putin "hates the LGBT, he hates that whole gay agenda and will not tolerate it in Russia."

But Joyner predicted that, in the end, Trump will win in this battle because he has the "favor of God on him."

"He's a fighter, he was made for that," Joyner said. "Wait and see if he doesn't prevail. I tell you, he's got favor from God on him, he's got a calling. Every other time before in these unbelievable battles, whenever everybody thought he was done, he'll never get up from this one, he keeps getting up and he keeps winning every time. He's going to ultimately prevail in all of this."
