MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow started off her program last night by discussing the anti-immigrant “throughline” in American history that runs from the “explicitly racist” overhaul of the immigration system in 1924 to yesterday's decision by the Trump administration to end the DACA program that protects undocumented people who arrived in the country as children.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who was charged with announcing the DACA cancellation yesterday, has praised the 1924 law that was explicitly intended to limit non-white immigration as “good for America,” as Right Wing Watch first reported.
