Yesterday on "Crosstalk," Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality said that there is still hope for gay people. Just as murderers sitting on death row who repent for their crimes can be saved, LaBarbera said, gay people can similarly repent for their homosexuality and seek deliverance from God.
He told host Vic Eliason of Voice of Christian Youth America that much like "people who are on death row for murder who get saved and will be in Heaven, we need to apply that love to people struggling with homosexuality or embracing that sin."
LaBarbera warned, however, that Satan is deceiving people on "issues of sexuality and gender," including Bruce Jenner, who according to several media reports may soon come out publicly as transgender.
He also railed against growing acceptance of gay people in the U.S. military while discussing reports about a home on an Arizona air base flying a rainbow-themed American flag. LaBarbera was outraged, pointing to the flag as a sign of the "homosexualization of the military."
"This corrupts the morals of young people and these men in the service and naturally there's a whole world, it's disgusting, but there's a world of gay porn where they fetishize men in uniform," LaBarbera said. "Why would you open up the military to a perversion like this?"
