Michelle Malkin, a far-right political commentator, believes that the United States is “under siege” by immigrants entering through its borders.
Malkin joined Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow today on the “Breitbart News Daily” show on SiriusXM Patriot, during which Marlow asked Malkin if he should feel reassured or disappointed by President Trump’s actions regarding immigration policy; Malkin opted for the latter. She said that she was alarmed at the “mother of all caravans headed here,” echoing the rhetoric of Mexico’s interior minister Olga Sanchez Cordero, and blamed what she said is an immigration emergency on “transnational forces” and “the sanctuary enablers within our country.” Trump has promised to send military forces to America’s southern border, Malkin said, but that rhetoric had not materialized in a way she had hoped for.
“I don’t want to hear empty threats anymore about how he’s going to do what he should have done many, many, many, many months ago,” Malkin said. She added, “He should have the military there. This is a national emergency. Does he believe his own rhetoric or not?”
She also asserted that “hordes of people” have put the United States in a position where it is “under siege,” citing conversations she said she has had with Border Patrol agents.
“I hear from Border Patrol agents who work on monitoring all of our ports of entry—air, land, and sea—that are under siege,” Malkin said.
Marlow said it was “repulsive” that Republicans are “acting like they care about law and order,” yet have not acted against “the mass importation” of undocumented immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. Marlow said of the situation: “It makes you sick.”
