Right-wing preacher Lance Wallnau posted a video on his Facebook page yesterday crediting President Trump's decision to bathe the White House in blue light last month in honor of the nation's police officers for saving the lives of Rep. Steve Scalise and others who were shot in Virginia yesterday during a Republican practice for the congressional baseball game.
Wallnau said it was prophetic that he was in Washington, D.C., when the shooting happened, which he took as a sign that he needs to spend more time working on political issues.
"I don't want to do this," he said, "but I seem to feel like I'm always here at some pivotal moment and it's confirming I gotta spend more time in D.C."
Wallnau said the fact that nobody died in the attack on members of Congress despite dozens of shots being fired is proof that "our prayers are working."
"That has to be God protecting a lot of lives today through the Capitol Police," he said. "I want to remind you that Trump—remember when Obama bathed the White House in rainbow colors when same-sex marriage came out? It's interesting to me that the last time the White House was given a symbolic color bath, it was Trump honoring policemen. He bathed it in blue. And I think that that honor is policing the heavens right now."
