On yesterday's episode of "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events," Rick Joyner explained that he was not always what one would call a "patriot" because, as a pastor, he was mainly concerned with saving souls. Besides, he also had some concerns about some of the Founding Fathers and wasn't sure if they were really "inspired by divine principles, by biblical principles."
As such, he decided to look into the issue for himself in order to determine whether or not he should really care about what is happening to America and, lo and behold, God showed him "that America had been established by Him for a special purpose and I saw that purpose in the Scripture and I saw America in the prophetic books of the Bible."
In fact, during his course of study, Joyner also discovered that many of the Founding Fathers saw America "as a model for the coming Kingdom of God ... It was their vision of the Kingdom that they sought to bring forth in America":
