On his television program today, End Times prepper pastor Jim Bakker warned that liberals in America hate God so much that they are working to remove all the crosses from Arlington National Cemetery.
"Don't touch God's anointed," Bakker said. "You are going to see some things happen, you are going to say, 'My God, my God, why are people falling over dead?' Because they have touched God's anointed."
Bakker fumed that people are "are so sick in America that they don't respect anything" and have even "blasphemed Billy Graham's memory."
"They don't respect God," he said. "You know what they are talking about they're going to do now? They're going to remove all the crosses at the great cemetery in Washington."
Bakker's wife, Lori, was aghast at the thought, as Bakker lamented that "even the history of America is being desecrated."
"There is nothing to respect anymore," he said, "so we are in the Last Days."
Predictably, the article that was cited on-screen as evidence of Bakker's claim says nothing of the sort, but simply notes that the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals recently refused to hear an appeal to a ruling ordering the removal of a large cross from a highway median in Maryland and that one judge on that court wanted to hear the appeal because of concerns that the ruling could put "'at risk hundreds of monuments with similar symbols standing on public grounds across the country,’ including Arlington National Cemetery, where large crosses commemorate fallen soldiers."
