On his radio program today, right-wing commentator Jesse Lee Peterson mocked Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang for breaking down in tears while discussing the issue of gun violence during a campaign event last weekend.
Yang grew emotional at a campaign event when asked by a mother whose 4-year-old daughter was killed by a stray bullet in 2011 what he would do, if elected, to address the issue of gun violence.
"Poor baby," Peterson said after playing a clip of Yang weeping while responding to the question. "I think that's a stunt, too. I don't think it's real. He's trying to appease the women. Really. Because he knows ain't no real man gonna fall for that, and really no real woman would fall for it; a female will, but not a real woman."
"That was a bunch of crap," he added. "My question, had I been able to be there, I would have said, 'You know what, Andrew? You boo-hooing over something that hasn't even happened to your so-called kids, how are you going to handle "Allahu Akbar"? How will you handle bin Laden? How will you handle our enemies? You're crying over something that is not even happening.' What a girl!"
