Back in 2010, Religious Right activist Janet Porter, then going by her maiden name of Folger, announced that she had written a screenplay about her efforts to pass the nation's first ban on partial birth abortion:
While pro-life lobbyist, Janet Folger, is being romanced by Daniel…his mother, a zealous pro-abortion state representative, takes over the legislative committee to kill her bill–the nation’s first ban on partial birth abortion.
While it looks like a “romantic comedy,” True to Life is the true story of overcoming impossible odds with the God of the impossible. See how far a little creativity and a lot of faith can take you…all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court!
Porter even released a trailer for her film in an effort to secure funding:
That was the last we heard of this effort until Porter showed up on Cindy Jacobs' pre-election conference call earlier this week, where she announced that she has secured $2 million in funding for the project. She said that the movie will feature cameos from Mike Huckabee and Rep. Steve King, that she has secured a commitment from Victoria Jackson to play a role, and that Stephen Baldwin has expressed interest in playing the lead.
Even more exciting, Jacobs had given Porter a prophecy years ago that this movie would be "the tipping point to end abortion" in America, so obviously legal abortion's days are numbered as Porter says they are to begin shooting the movie soon:
