Glenn Beck broadcast his radio program remotely today from Birmingham, Alabama, where he is getting ready for this "Restoring Unity" rally tomorrow. Since Beck is all about bringing unity to America, naturally he used his program today to blame this week's shooting of a Virginia reporter and cameraman on the media and Al Sharpton.
Citing Vester Lee Flanagan's history of anger issues, problems with co-workers, and reported obsession with perceived racial slights, Beck said that the media is to blame for Flanagan's murder of his two former coworkers.
"Why are the media focused on guns?," Beck asked. "Why isn't the media focused on the people who are training people to think this way? The media has been stirring this crap up and saying, 'Hey, when you say Chicago, that's racist, that's code language.' Well, this is the result of all of that bullcrap code language stuff."
"When Gabby Giffords was shot, the world stopped and said, 'Was the Tea Party responsible?,'" he continued. "No. No. Why isn't the world stopping and asking are the people in the media, are the Al Sharptons of the world responsible for this kind of thinking?"
