Frank Gaffney, the head of the Center for Security Policy and a former adviser to Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign, joined conservative radio host Greg Garrison on his show on Friday to discuss recent anti-Trump protests. Gaffney argued that Black Lives Matter, “Occupy types,” liberals and “Islamic supremacists” form an “axis of evil” and that they oppose “the rule of law,” “our government,” “our Constitution” and “freedom more generally.”
Gaffney claimed that supporters of liberal investor George Soros collaborate with Muslims for such protests, saying, “The Soros crowd has been working hand-in-glove with the Islamists for years funding some of their operations, certainly making common cause with them for the purpose of, well, the larger Soros agenda, as well as that of the Islamic supremacists destroying this country.”
He continued, “One of the things that has come to light is that this axis of evil, if you wish, of the Black Lives Matter, you know, victimhood agitators, the Occupy types, assorted other hard-left groups, ANSWER Coalition and the like, and the Islamists, is very much operating these days.”
“This is very much tied into a strain of hostility to the rule of law and to our government and to our Constitution and to freedom more generally, that is, despite their many differences, the shared purpose of Islamic supremacists on the one hand and the hard-left on the other,” Gaffney said.
