Frank Gaffney, president of the anti-Muslim group Center for Security Policy, told Breitbart News that mainstream media outlets that fact-check President Donald Trump are carrying out an "information warfare operation" against the presidency.
This morning on "Breitbart News Daily," Gaffney was asked about reports that Trump lied when he claimed that President Barrack Obama and the presidents before him did not reach out to the families of soldiers killed while serving. Radio host and Breitbart editor-in-chief Alex Marlow asked Gaffney if there was "anything serious to discuss" about the story, which he called a "distraction that has obsessed much of the establishment media."
Gaffney replied that any discussion about fallen soldiers and their families should be taken seriously, but said it was "also the case" that the mainstream press and Trump are engaged in "information warfare" against one another.
"I think what we've watched is now a, well, information warfare operation run by the mainstream media against this presidency, along with an awful lot of other folks, of course," Gaffney told Marlow. "And to some extent, in fairness, run by the president of the United States against the mainstream media. You've got distractions being introduced on both sides."
