Executive vice president of the anti-LGBTQ hate group Family Research Council William G. Boykin sent a letter to FRC donors asking for help combatting “146 million liberal dollars” in this year’s midterm elections.
In the letter, Boykin warns donors that Barack Obama, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and “radical, anti-American, socialist billionaire” George Soros have brought “an unprecedented amount of money, manpower, and influence” to the 2018 midterm elections. Of Soros, Boykin wrote, “Mr. Soros is a radical opponent of any and all policies that promote healthy families and biblical values.”
“This year’s elections are truly a David-versus-Goliath battle. But remember – David prevailed over the giant because he relied on the Lord’s strength and guidance – just as we do!” Boykin writes. He urges donors to give to the FRC Action PAC, promising the PAC will only fund candidates who support FRC’s agenda “100 percent of the time.” That agenda, as we’ve seen over the years, opposes same-sex marriage, demonizes transgender people, and vilifies access to safe abortion procedures and works directly with people tied to the Trump administration to enact that agenda.
Boykin writes that if liberals win the Senate, that their first move will be to block Trump Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and other judicial appointees. If liberals win the House, he writes, they might “even impeach the president!”
