In yet another column advocating President Obama’s overthrow, WorldNetDaily’s Erik Rush today calls on “the American people to go to any length” to stop the Obama administration’s “designs to subjugate us” with its “statist agenda.”
Rush, who has called for the execution of the president and administration officials, writes that “those who govern us are evil and audacious” and pose “a clear and present danger to our liberties, the Constitution and the continuance of this nation.”
The net used to ensnare our liberties has been cast repeatedly over a long period of time, and each time it is cast increasingly wider. For example, laws and statutes that violate the Second Amendment have been passed over many decades, which should have drawn severe backlash from citizens. They did not, because they were ostensibly proffered (as I asserted last week) for our own good. Taxation and thousands of regulations concocted as fiat law by unconstitutional federal agencies have become more and more ideology-driven and tyrannical. We have only taken notice because the Obama administration “upped the game” almost exponentially with regard to advancing the statist agenda.
At this point, the liberties government has taken (pun intended) with regard to usurping our liberty are innumerable, and no half-hearted political solution will address their transgressions or this retrogression from governance to rule.
While this administration definitely represents a clear and present danger to our liberties, the Constitution and the continuance of this nation as a going concern, it is really just an acute symptom of a progressive disease that has gone untreated for far too long. Those who govern us are evil and audacious; their rhetoric and that of their supporters reflects a desperation beyond urgency. The criminals in government are aware of their crimes and are banking on Americans’ desire for relative safety and comfort outweighing our desire for liberty.
They are also banking on our ignorance of the fact that we will lose all three if their agenda continues unchecked.
Ultimately, they must be made to realize that there is a willingness (if not a desire) on the part of the American people to go to any length (emphasis his) to wrest the government from them. If they do not perceive this willingness, they will simply continue in their designs to subjugate us. They may not win, but the toll will be very great.
Better to convey our willingness to fight and possibly circumvent the necessity to fight altogether.
