On his "WallBuilders Live" radio program today, Religious Right pseudo-historian David Barton claimed that he is the victim of "macro-aggression" because people criticize him for his anti-LGBT views.
After an interview with Everett Piper of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, who railed against colleges and universities catering to students' demands for trigger warnings and concerns over micro-aggressions, Barton wondered why nobody is concerned about the "macro-aggressions" that he suffers for simply being a Christian.
Barton once again falsely claimed that his organization has been labeled an anti-LGBT hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center—while the SPLC has profiled Barton's extremism, WallBuilders has never been officially designed as a hate group—which he claims is a "macro-aggression" attack on his faith.
"I would love if I could have trigger warnings for macro-aggressions, like when somebody attacks Christianity in general," Barton said. "That's a macro attack. Or, in my case, because I've said that marriage should be between a man and a woman, the Southern Poverty Law Center lists me as a leader of a national group ... That's a macro-aggression on my ability to have free speech or believe in biblical morality!"
