Over the holiday weekend, Dave Daubenmire and a few dozen right-wing activists descended on Chappaqua, New York, to protest outside the Clintons' home and demand the arrest of Hillary Clinton. On Monday, the activists showed up at the city's Memorial Day parade, where they held signs and chanted as Bill and Hillary Clinton, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and other dignitaries passed by.
On his "Pass the Salt Live" webcast this morning, Daubenmire complained that he and his fellow activists were ridiculed, criticized, and called "bigots" by some of those who were attending the parade, which Daubenmire insisted is just as bad as being called the "N-word."
"I saw this plain as can be," Daubenmire said. "Bigot is the new N-word. Bigot. They don't call us N-words, they call us bigots. Can you imagine them saying to black people, 'You're not welcome here'? Isn't that bigotry? We had some guy chanting, 'Go back to Alabama.' You are telling me that's not bigotry? You are telling me that's not racism?"
"They can throw the word 'bigot' out there and bigot is a socially accepted word," he continued. "If they called 'homo,' oh no, you can't do that. You can't do that. If you yelled out, '[says N-word],' oh no, no, no, you can't do that. 'Bigot, Christian bigot,' they can do that, do it all day and everybody applauds."
