Curt Schilling: 'The Left Is Pushing A Civil War' And 'White Christians' Are Under Attack

Former Major League Baseball player Curt Schilling, who was recently fired from his ESPN analyst position for a transphobic Facebook post, joined conservative radio host Rick Wiles on his show on May 18, where he attacked ESPN and its parent company, Disney, claiming that his firing was just another case of white Christians being marginalized in America.

“I don’t want to sound like a victim because I’m not trying to sound like a victim but I think the only thing people now acknowledge publicly is that it’s okay to infringe upon or talk down on white Christians,” Schilling said.

“We all knew this was coming,” he continued. “The Scripture’s pretty clear on what’s gonna happen with us, to us, and about us in, you know, many parts of the Bible.”

Schilling then criticized ESPN and Disney for their supposed bigotry against him.

“Here’s the thing that got me: When I got fired, there was a very quick, small press release stating that ESPN and the Disney company are an inclusive company and apparently the things I said were not inclusive,” he said. “They’re exactly the opposite. They’re as exclusive and bigoted as you can be because if you share a political viewpoint that isn’t left of center, you’re gonna get in trouble. If I would’ve compared the Tea Party to ISIS, I would’ve been fine. If I would’ve talked about the Black Lives Matter movement, I would’ve been fine, because they do that every day… I always kind of like to know where the enemy is and who they are, and they’ve made themselves out to be exactly that.”

Wiles agreed, claiming, “Disney is a radical, politically radical company and very anti-Christian. Everything Disney does is anti-Christian.”

“Poor old Walt would pull his hair out if he knew what was happening right now with the company that he founded,” Wiles said.

“It never would’ve happened if he’d been around,” Schilling claimed, again calling the left “intolerant” and “bigoted.”

“And they want to call the rest of the world the very things that they are,” Schilling said. “It almost feels like a game. It’s like the KKK coming out and saying, ‘You know what, you’re a racist.’”

After Wiles called the left “mentally ill,” the two discussed the upcoming election. Regarding Hillary Clinton, Schilling said, “The leading Democratic candidate for president of the United States is one of the most evil, lying, manipulating, fraudulent, felonious politicians. The Clinton name is as corrupt as anything I’ve ever, ever seen and been around.”

“The only positive I’ve seen in this administration is the sale of firearms has gone through the roof in the last seven and a half years because law-abiding citizens are arming themselves to protect themselves from what feels to be every bit that the tyrannical government, the Second Amendment was created to protect us against," Schilling said.

Wiles claimed that “the left is pushing us towards civil war and they don’t realize we have all the guns.”

“The left is pushing a civil war that they would never fight,” Schilling said. “They don’t have the guts to stand up.” He then claimed the left wants the government to fight in the civil war for them, as, unlike conservatives, “they want the government to do everything for them.”
