Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, appeared on “The John Fredericks Show” on Friday to discuss the decision by Florida prosecutors not to charge him with battery after he grabbed and bruised reporter Michelle Fields at a campaign event.
Lewandowski falsely claimed that Fields originally said she was thrown to the ground and he praised Trump for defending him over the incident, declaring that by standing with him and attacking Fields, Trump showed how tough he would be while fighting terrorism.
Unlike all the weak politicians, Lewandowski explained, Trump showed toughness and stood up for the truth, which is exactly what the voters want: “They want somebody who is tough and strong and is willing to say words like ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ when our country is being attacked by terrorists.”
