As Right Wing Watch noted on Monday, a group of about 50 Trump-supporting evangelical pastors and worship leaders worshiped in the Old Executive Office Building Friday and later prayed over President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, the latest in a series of gatherings organized by Trump spiritual advisor and White House staffer Paula White. Among those who addressed the group were Vice President Mike Pence, Ivanka Trump, and Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback.
On Wednesday morning, Fox News published a report connecting the gathering to the “impeachment fight.” According to Fox, Trump “told them he needs prayer now more than ever amid the intensifying impeachment probe on Capitol Hill.”
Congressional candidate Sean Feucht, a musician and worship leader at Bethel Church, has been actively promoting his attendance at the meeting on social media. The Fox News story also highlighted Feucht:
"All 50 of us crammed into the Oval Office. He sat at his desk and he said pray for me," Sean Feucht, a Bethel Music worship leader who is running for Congress in California's Third Congressional District, told Fox News.
"We just laid our hands on him and prayed for him. It was like a real intense, hardcore prayer. It was so wild," Feucht said. "I could not believe he invited us in. That he carved out time to meet with us."

Feucht said: “I shook his hand and said ‘Mr. President, I’m from California and I just want to let you know that there’s people out in California that support you.”
In a White House photo of the participants gathered around Trump, Feucht stretches out his hand to touch the president, leading religion writer Jonathan Merritt to snark on Twitter, “If I had a picture of myself falling over people to touch the hem of the garment of a sex offender, I’d never have the guts to share it.”
Feucht’s congressional campaign is being promoted by big names among in the Trump-supporting dominionist apostles and prophets crowd, including Che Ahn and Cindy Jacobs. But the Sacramento County Republican Party has given its endorsement to Tamika Hamilton, another GOP candidate challenging incumbent Democratic Rep. John Garamendi.
