As we have been noting for the last week or so, everyone on the Religious Right has developed collective amnesia when it comes to the issue of dominionism, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
One of the major proponents of dominionism is C. Peter Wagner, the guru behind the New Apostolic Reformation, who, in 2008, wrote a book entitled "Dominion!: How Kingdom Action Can Change the World." Taking dominion was also the focus of the remarks he delivered at that same year a the "Starting The Year Off Right" conference hosted by Chuck Pierce of Global Spheres and Glory of Zion International Ministries:
Dominion has to do with control. Dominion has to do with rulership. Dominion has to do with authority and subduing and it relates to society. In other words, what the values are in Heaven need to be made manifest here on earth. Dominion means being the head and not the tail. Dominion means ruling as kings. It says in Revelation Chapter 1:6 that He has made us kings and priests - and check the rest of that verse; it says for dominion. So we are kings for dominion.
It sure is odd how we keep finding all of these people promoting dominionism while the Religious Right keeps telling us that it doesn't exist.
