American Family Radio's Bryan Fischer seems to be having a very hard time coming to grips with the simple fact that Donald Trump won the presidential election despite losing the popular vote by nearly three million votes, as he continues to come up with absurd ways to argue that Hillary Clinton's popular vote total was not really as impressive as it seems.
On his radio program today, Fischer dismissed Clinton's advantage by declaring that while "[she] won California, Donald Trump won everything else." As Fischer explained it, since Clinton defeated Trump in California by nearly 3.5 million votes and her overall popular vote margin was less than three million votes, that means that "everywhere else in the country, the other 49 states" voted for Trump by overwhelming margins ... oddly ignoring the fact that Clinton won 20 states and the District of Columbia.
"So there is your analysis of the popular vote. Hillary Clinton won California, Donald Trump won everything else," Fischer said, as he thanked God "for the foresight of the founding fathers" in creating the Electoral College.
Apparently, Fischer believes the votes cast by the citizens of the nation's most populous state simply don't mean very much and shouldn't really count, especially if they cast those votes for a Democrat.
