In a speech to the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit today, ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel warned her Religious Right audience that refugees being resettled in the United States are bringing in diseases, committing sexual assaults and “hate America” and that many of them “actually are working against our own country.”
Gabriel warned of “cases of rape and sexual assault” reported in “six states where refugees have been resettled,” which led her to conclude, “They have no respect for women, children or our American values. Welcome to the new American citizens we are importing.”
She added that refugees are “bringing with them diseases that were once eradicated in the United States or under control”; conservative media like Breitbart have exaggerated the threat of diseases like tuberculosis among refugees.
Gabriel went on to lambaste companies that are taking advantage of tax subsidies to hire “cheap refugees” who “hate America” and may actually be working against it.
“Now the regular American is going to the back of the line,” she said, “paying for the salaries for the refugees we are…importing to this country who hate America, do not share our values and a lot of them actually are working against our own country.”
